Colour Analysis

Jilly Greig is a fully qualified Colour Me Beautiful Colour and Make-up consultant. Colour Me Beautiful are the UK's leading colour and image consultants, and have featured many times in the press, on TV and radio and at various exhibitions world-wide. They have about 300 consultants in UK and a further 600 around the world.

They are advisors to many blue chip companies, including IBM, Marks & Spencer, Jaguar, Proctor and Gamble, Lloyds TSB, Johnson & Johnson, Barclays Bank and the NHS.

What is colour analysist?

Colour analysis is the enjoyable process which allows you to find out your most flattering colours and shades, as well as learning which of those combine well together for certain outfits.

How does it work?

When you come for a session, Jilly will assess your colouring - eyes, hair and skin, and use tester drapes to find out which of six dominant colouring types you fall into. This will give you thirty colours for your personal swatch. Two further tests are done with drapes to find out your sub-dominant types, so that you eventually end up with forty two colours which are best for your complexion and colouring.

Next, you will be able to have a full make-up in your ideal cosmetic colours, from the Colour Me Beautiful range. Jilly will show you how to apply your make-up to get the best look for you. This will all be noted down for you on your info card. Should you wish to purchase any of the products, she stocks a full range and you will be able to take them home to achieve the same look.

Once you have your make-up done, you will be seated in front of a full length mirror, and you will be draped with each of your new colours, one at a time, so that you can see the affect they have on your complexion. Your correct colours will make you look well, whereas your incorrect ones tend to drain you and give you a jaundiced appearance!

Jilly will select the very best of your colours, usually between 22 and 28 out of the 42, and will note those down on your info card, so that you will know which are the colours which enhance your complexion the most. She will also show you good colour combinations for outfits, and note those down as well.

All in all, a colour analysis session is a fun and informative one, and you will leave armed with your handbag sized colour swatch, ready to hit the shops and to save thousands on bad buys in the future!

If you prefer to just have a make-up lesson, without the colour analysis, you can come in and do that instead. Jilly can also come to your home to do make-up and colour parties, these are fun girls' nights in, or may be for a special occasion such as a hen party or birthday.

Who is colour analysis suitable for?

Jilly's clients for colour analysis come from a broad range of people, ranging from 14 - 90 year olds, both men and women, from all occupations and for many reasons. Some people just come for the curiosity factor, however many have gone through a major change in their life, such as divorce, marriage, the birth of a child, change or career or a bereavement. Many brides come with their mothers or bridesmaids, to find out their best colours for wedding outfits, wedding and bridesmaid's dresses.

A colour session can help boost their confidence, revamp their old look, as well as update their make-up routine. It can also help them to shop more efficiently and more effectively, as once you know your colours, you can avoid trying on anything which is not in your colour, saving you hours!

How long does it take and how much does it cost?

Colour or Make-up Parties can be arranged around your needs, and the price will vary according to your requirements, just ask for details.
