Chemical Peels

NB: For reasons of safety, please do not bring children/babies when attending for medical cosmetic treatments.

Chemical peeling is a technique used to improve the appearance of skin on your face, neck and back or shoulders. It can be used in the treatment of some acnes, sun spots, age spots, freckles, blotchiness and skin that is generally dull. A chemical solution is applied to the area which inflames the skin causing it to peel off. This causes the formation of a new layer of skin which is usually smoother, more even in colour and less wrinkled.

The peel effectiveness is dependant on the concentration and type of chemical, the skin preparation and length of time applied. The deeper the peel the better the overall result although this does involve a longer down-time due to the immediate post treatment appearance.

We offer a range of peels based on citric acid, a "lunchtime" procedure that refreshes the skin. These peels can be performed weekly and we would recommend 4 to 6 in a row.

Prior to your treatment you will have a consultation with one of our experienced doctors or nurses to ensure Chemical Peel is the appropriate treatment for you. At this stage we would also discuss any concerns or answer any questions you might have concerning the procedure.
