Annual Medical MOT
One of the most important things you can do to safeguard your health is to have an annual medical MOT. Medicalternative provides a comprehensive package of tests that focuses on the aspects of health, fitness, lifestyle and medical conditions that most frequently give cause for concern.
Following the test we will be able to give you an assessment of your overall health and let you know what you should do to improve it.
Our Service
The Medical MOT will give you the chance to fully discuss any medical problems and the doctor will carry out a number of tests and investigations designed to keep your body in optimum working order. These include:
- A lifestyle and medical history questionnaire and discussion
- Height, weight and blood pressure tests
- Cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, orthopaedic and gastrointestinal assessments
- Vision and hearing checks
- An electrocardiogram (ECG) to check for heart problems
- Well Man / Well Woman checks which assess key health issues related to gender
Any aspects that may require further attention will be highlighted and the appropriate testing or treatment arranged. If necessary a follow up appointment will be arranged to discuss any areas of concern arising from the initial appointment.
When You Visit Us
A Full Medical MOT takes about one and a half hours (one hour with a doctor and half an hour with a nurse). The whole process is relaxed and we will do everything we can to put you at ease. None of the tests are painful.
Costs
The Full Medical MOT costs £400
NB: Additional tests or investigations may be requested - these will incur additional costs.
(When you book your appointment we take a £50 deposit to secure the Doctor's/Nurse's time. The £50 comes off the cost of your fee following consultation).
