A GP appointment at Medicalternative is a reassuring and friendly experience that’s focused on getting you back on the road to health as soon as possible. Whatever ailment you are suffering from, our doctors will use their expertise to come up with the best treatment approach for you.
Our Service
We aim to see you rapidly and are part of the Sameday Doctor™ network that offers medical appointments within 24 hours across the UK. We provide long opening hours and a rapid booking service, so you’ll be seen swiftly and with the minimum of fuss.
Our team believes it is vitally important for patients and doctors to have sufficient time during appointments to deal with all their patients' needs, so all appointments are booked in 15 or 30 minute segments. Our receptionist will offer you the choice of both times when you book. You can also specify whether you want a male or female doctor and, if you have been before, you can say whether you want to see the same doctor you saw previously, or a new one.
When You Visit Us
- When you arrive, our attentive reception staff will be on hand with a smile and a cup of tea or coffee. You’ll be seen promptly and shown into one of our well-appointed treatment rooms
- We’ll give you all the time you need and you’ll enjoy a relaxed, no-rush consultation session. You can be confident that we’ll provide the highest levels of care, rapid test results and absolute discretion
- If appropriate you will be treated during your consultation or you will be given a programme of treatment or medication. Where necessary (and only with your permission) we will liaise with your NHS GP. If required, we will make specialist referrals to the NHS, private consultants or private hospitals
Costs
Normal consultation: 15 minutes: £100; 30 minutes: £135
A follow-up telephone consultation can be arranged: £45
Fit for work letter (Fit note): £150 (covers consultation and letter)
(When you book your appointment we take a £50 deposit to secure the Doctor's/Nurse's time. The £50 comes off the cost of your fee following consultation).
