Macrolane™ is the latest treatment from leading international cosmetic treatment company Q-Med. It is used to fill out many different areas of the body quickly, simply and with minimum discomfort. Based on Q-Med's patented technology, NASHA™, it gives immediate and long-lasting enhancement of relatively large body parts such as the breasts and the buttocks. The product is used as a body shaper both to give volume and/or to smooth out defects over the whole body. Macrolane™ is recognised as one of the most important additions to today's treatment alternatives. Macrolane treatments are only carried out by certified Doctors who have been fully trained in its use. At Medicalternative we, currently, only treat the breast area.

Body shaping with Macrolane™ enables the breasts, bottom and other body parts to be filled out to give a natural result. It can be used for breast augmentation and shaping of the décolletage and also as a supplement after plastic surgery procedures such as breast operations and liposuction. Compared to facial aesthetic treatments with Restylane® where relatively small volumes of NASHA™ are used much greater volumes are involved in an average treatment with Macrolane™.

The gel is thicker and is injected deeper into the skin giving much greater lift to the surrounding tissue. For breast shaping treatments Macrolane® is placed behind the breast tissue and for other body indications deep into the skin tissue which will lift the tissue in a natural way.

Prior to your treatment you will receive an initial 30 minute appointment with one of our Doctors to ensure Macrolane® is the appropriate treatment for you. We will endeavour to put your mind at ease at this stage by answering any question and alleviating any worries you may have. A minimum two day ‘cool-down’ period will follow giving you a chance to consider if Macrolane® is the right treatment for you.
