My primary qualification is in Bowen Therapy, this I have been practising for 5 years.
Besides this, I have been working with this revolutionary machine, which is one of the first in the UK.
I work in Edinburgh, at Medicalternative and also from my Clinic in Kelso and my home town of Peebles offering Bowen Therapy, Neuro-Muscular Therapy and the Body Detox Machine. What is Bio-energy Neuro-Muscular Therapy? First a diagnostic tool picks up any neuro-muscular abnormalities. Muscular problems arise when there is a lack of the correct nerve stimulus. The machine then corrects any energy imbalance using conductive pads on to the skin. Free electrons pass into the cells, helping rebuild normal cellular function. At the same time the system detects and corrects any blockages in the meridian pathways (energy lines of the body as used in acupuncture). If the message from the nerve pathways to the muscles is blocked, then the body will always try to find an alternative route. This will not always be as efficient and the therapist can see as well as the client can feel, when one side is not working as well as the other. With this therapy we try to rebalance this by turning down the flow of electrons into the efficient side and forcing the problem side to work, thus clearing the meridian and nerve pathways.
