A full report is provided after each consultation
The report is sent on the day of the consultation. In delicate or urgent situations we can discuss the case before we see an employee and telephone the appropriate manager as soon as the consultation is finished. This confirms the person's attendance and any appropriate OH advice, within the bounds of medical confidentiality, can be given.
The report covers the employee's condition, answers all the questions posed in the written referral from the line manager and any other issues the OH specialist believes would be helpful in managing the case, i.e. Employment Legislation, Disability Discrimination Act, interpreting medical information, predicting the future health situation, suggested NHS waiting times and or treatment recommendations.
