Stress Management Training for the Individual

This service is both a course in stress management techniques and the therapeutic releasing of current stress. It is a course of six sessions tailored to the needs and particular stresses of the individual.

Why six sessions?

Six sessions are recommended for two several reasons; the repeating of certain techniques will reinforce learning, helping this knowledge sink in and become a welcome habit. Each week will build upon the learning of the previous sessions. Through the release of stress in each session and in the enjoyable exercises that are recommended for use out-with the sessions we can go into deeper and deeper states of relaxation as each week progresses. This sets up an unconscious (i.e. automatic) memory of the experience of peace so it will become easier to access this state. If combined with regular work in your own time, the deliberate seeking of this state in times of stress this becomes habitual - and very much looked forward to! As stress levels drop some of the most common side effects are:

  • A greater sense of wellbeing and enjoyment of life
  • Better quality of sleep
  • Feeling more relaxed and peaceful
  • Feeling more in control
  • Balanced appetite
  • Feeling more loving
  • Being more productive and resourceful
  • Diminished symptoms of stress such as frequent infections, headaches, skin or digestive problems, anxiety, fatigue, irritability and being less sociable

Through the supportive coaching of stress management sessions participants will:

  • Experience states of deep relaxation.
  • Learn simple self-hypnosis techniques to use at home.
  • Learn a quick version of EFT - a powerful self-help method for releasing distressing feelings (the practice of a little EFT each day has incredible long-term benefits such as increased calm and ability to handle life with ease, enhanced immunity and the steady transformation of negative thoughts, feelings and behavioural patterns).
  • Learn how to be in the present moment and how you can use this to release anxiety in seconds.
  • Learn simple body awareness through breath and observation and how this increases our self-awareness - both physical and emotional.
  • Learn how to feel calm and confident about future events.

This course includes a manual, email support and a post course telephone session.

Upon receipt of the course fee I will contact you in order to email a detailed questionnaire about what you would like to address and how you would like to be at the end of the six weeks and also ask about any previous experience of relaxations methods so I know where to start. Whether at a beginners or an advanced level this course will be tailored to the individual!
